Portrait Story

I just had one of my all time favorite portrait story photo shoots. My portrait story shoots are different from my traditional shoots in that it’s not about recording what someone looks like at a particular point in time as much as who that are, or something about them. This adorable girl is an amazing artist who draws the most incredible fairies. We originally had planned to transport her into one of her drawings (and still may at a later date) but when we found this location that looked like fairies could spring up at any second, it told the story for us. We even considered having her add some fairies to the photo, but I think it stands on it’s own. We shot late one evening as the wind lifted her hair, and she skipped over to the tree and nestled into the knobby roots. If you hold your ear up to the computer you might actually hear a few fairies whispering.
